to quote cyborg from 1000000 threads:
c2d:E6600
gigabyte 6-thingy 965 chipset
2 gigs geil memory
gf 7600gt
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

E6600 is a definetly good card for its price. Dunno about mobo's but i like ASUS.  2 gigs of ram seems pretty solid for today. Also get like a BFG or a eVGA 7900GT and your set for a year or 2.

tip 1 : NEVER buy a dell XPS -> Because they are waaay to expansive!

If there is some 1 here dutch :p translate the "best buy guide" of www.tweakers.net because am to lazy :p.

!> Maybe u dont have to buy much... maybe a other a faster motherboard and a new graphic card and some ram! (go for 2 gb i recommend, i need that to :p i got 2x512)!

Go to some electronic shops! NOT a random 1 but 1 where people are that KNOW what they talk about. Not some bitch that things that a expensive things are best.

I hope this will help u

to kessel: why do you want sli? are you running 1600x1200 resolution? if not then i think SLI is a waste

Crossfire is shit. And you will want to get SLI then if you want to run it at 1600x1200. Unless of course you spit out the cash for a Geforce 7950GX2.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6814125035

Which of course will pretty much run BF2 at all high no problem.

Might want to wait for that. I'm not sure if it's already released or not.
