my post was based on the premise of your claim that "7Ghz is impossible" It may not be realistic at this point because Core2 Duo has yet to see the real world, but Im sure within a few years (like it took the Prescott) the "conroe" chip will be touching the 7Ghz area.. Ive come to realize not to say "impossible" when referring to computer technology... shit I remember just a few years back when Bill Gates said nobody will ever need more than 64Mb of ram...

Unfortunately, unless you are running low resolution and crap IQ settings, you won't see a performance gain. Other than flight sim like games, which are still largely CPU bound, most games are GPU bound at the settings most people use during actual game play.Kmarion wrote:
