Apparently it's illegal for the US to sell arms to Israel unless they use these arms for self defence or internal security purposes.

According to the article, Reagan had to stop military aid to Israel after they were found to be using these weapons for purposes other than those laid out in the US Arms Export Act. Will Bush be asked to do the same in light of the Israeli invasion of southern Lebanon?

Not when the official story reads that Israel was attempting to secure the release of 2 of their kidnapped soldiers.

Now that Hezzybezzybobezzybananafanafofezzie has fired a few hundred missiles into Israel, they are now "defending themselves".

Pretty much shot themselves in the foot, them Hezbezzledezzles.

They actually captured soldiers to exchange for prisoners which Israel took by attacking them.  Why do you think they said that 'no military action' would secure the release of the soldiers?  It was a 'you kidnap us, we'll kidnap you' situation.
