Your life in Israel has warped your views. I cannot identify any of those ludicrous pitcures with Europe, a community of nations in which I live. Those pictures were taken in London of a very small bunch of crackpots who were subsequently arrested. Europe is far from Israel Li'Sik. Just because we accepted ye into the UEFA cup doesn't mean you have much idea about Europe. Let's not forget that the UK is one on the only European nations dabbling in the middle east - a probable reason for the crackpot protests.

We saw those pictures already in your first post, Lisik. We also remember the rally taking place. You do not have to repost the pictures in your effort to change our perspective; you are not succeeding. I bet my sweet ass that 95% of all sane people would rather have an end to the violence instead of seeing each political and religious extreme group attempting genocide on the other, at the expense of innocent civilians.

I'm quite sure also that a majority of the Islamic population in the world are disappointed in these extremists. Yes, extremists. And extremists are in general minorities.

The correlation between the ongoing crisis and the posted pictures is vague; weren't these Al Qaeda-related?

Hezbollah on the other hand is a militant organization initially formed in Lebanon 1982 to resist the occupying Israeli forces. The political leaderships of Israel and the U.S. label Hezbollah as terrorists. This isn't the official view of the EU, though. All "western" countries however, agree to the fact that Al Qaeda is. Hezbollah is also a government-party in the Lebanese parliament.

So: With both sides motives "justified", each in their own way, with extreme actions and civilian casualties on both sides, with firm beliefs that both are correct, both having the support of other nations, and neither one willing to compromise (least of all Israel), how can this situation be resolved? I haven't got a slightest idea..

On a sombre note, this is actually what worries me.  Even if Israel is guilty of every crime under the book in the last month, their population is not all extremists like Lisik.  And it is true they've become the victims of valid attacks by terrorists in the past.  It's almost scary to think that the effect of the Israeli campaign of murder will be that the rest of the world leaves them all to be gutted by all those they've wronged in the past.

And the only result of that, is that more innocent people will die.


It feels frustrating as hell.  You'd think the rest of the world would understand that Europe has gone through all the fighting, killing, land grabbing and such hundreds of years ago.  We know it has no end and no good effect, and to be perfectly honest were it not such a serious topic I'd burst out laughing at the US and the Middle East when they think that killing is a way to solve problems.  Younger countries may find it easier to start wars, but I want my part of the world left out of it - especially when things go wrong.
