I was there when I was one, I don't remember anything except this ruffle shirt that they had on me that looked like the pirate shirt from Seinfeld, I will visit someday again & will be sure to know at least some basic phrases cause I hate it when people don't speak English here, I'll at least try to learn.
Me & the Girlfriend plan on backpacking across Europe someday for our honeymoon, thats if things kool down on this war on terror, I wouldn't want to be on tv getting my head lopped off for some religions point.

I spent 17 days there last summer, and I had a blast.  I'm hoping to study abroad for a semester or two also.

What a moron. Most of the world doesn't speak a word of English. Do you speak Chinese or Spanish? Both of those are spoken by more people than English.
Incorrect, Spanish is spoken much less than English. English is the "international" language - pilots use it, ship captains use it, hell I even see ads in Germany that are in English.

Here's the top five in case you're interested:
1. Mandarin (Chinese)
2. English
3. Hindi (Indian)
4. Spanish
5. Arabic
What do you call a person who speaks three languages? Trilingual. What do you call a person that speaks two languages? Bilingual. What do you call a person who only speaks one language? Umm... english? american?

Back to the topic. When it comes to skiing, there's no place like french alps.

France is a nice place, the french are only stuck up when they see loudmouth tourists going about being disrespectful (in ways they just wouldn't notice themselves). It's pretty compelling to try and trap a large group of loudmouth american tourists who are going around laughing at everything. Otherwise they're friendly. I know, i'm there at least 5 days a week. And USAF kept going on about the bad food over there...you're crazy man, french food has a reputation for being good, and it really is. Get some culture, jesus.

France is great and a lot of french people are too, apart from the fact that a lot of them think they have to greet every German with "Heil Hitler" and call them Nazis (that's my own experience on a trip to france a few years ago)

Although it is technically correct, that table is a bit misleading.  Maderin is only said to be the most spoken language because of the huge population of China (1bn alone) and surrounding countrieds that use it calculates to a higher population of the countries that have English as their first language.

In reality, English is by far the most spoken language as it is almost always a second tongue for countries with their own language (and thus doesn't apply which is why you get the table above).  When I lived in Sweden, nearly all the people I met could speak fluent English.

If you were to calculate all the people that could speak fluent English vs Fluent Mandarin, English would win by a country mile....

Mandarin is used a lot to speak between asian languages. Its easier to translate than say, english is. Besides, what kind of loser cares about the most spoken language in the world. Does it hurt your iddy biddy pwide because your language is beat by da big bad Mandarin?

English is the most USED language in the world.  If you calculate written and spoken it is absolutely the most USED form of communications.  That is not a boast before the jealous guy begins to flame.

Mandarin has the highest amount of native speakers due to its high population which the same reason applies to Hindi.  Mass population, but considering you might as well add at least 80% of the Hindi speakers to English speakers as well, because India was once controlled by England and most of that country (only the poor people and I mean very poor people dont speak English) speak English as well as Hindi.

That is why they outsource to that country.

I already posted about FRANCE which is the topic of this thread and France is very nice place.  I guess some of these people have not traveled to many places.

Try going to central american and EVEN if you speak Spanish, try feeling accepted.  I speak espanol fluently and I was still called a "stranger" to my face and charged more because I was not of their people.

Do not get me started in a Arab country or in Africa.  France is a playground for tourists so stop trying to knock it, until you really experienced an non welcoming country or its people.

Sorry any mispellings, I just woke up and I just spent some time working on a new language and I still mess both up.
