oh and the chopper drop after 1.3 was not to defeat solo heloing... it was so when you bail out you chopper doesnt float up to heaven and take 10 mins to respawn.

I think it's an exploit too. Just because the chopper isn't mean to be used alone, and all those gay ass pilots who fly you to the edge of a map and kill you so they can fly alone should be instantly executed in real life. Other than that, if you don't find a gunner and do it, I don't think it's that much of a problem at all.

Btw there won't be any changes to the switching according to a Dice official.

do you think it is an exploit to switch to the gunner seat when you are driving a car alone? I do it all the time; when I drive a car alone, but the car has 4 seats. And I am only 1... hmm I believe chopper-switching is one of the few things still left in the game that aren't noobified. It takes hours of practice to learn how to solo-fly. Bf2 is already too easy, don't make it any easier.

Yeah, being an ass an killing the gunner should be considered a ban-inducing offense.
Any teamkill aimed at misusing or abusing vehicles (whoring) should be an automatic ban.

Soloing in itself is not bad, as I said before, as long as you do it when you cannot do otherwise.

I'm sorry, but a gunner w/ a good pilot is far more deadly than a solo helo user. If I can get a good pilot, I stick with him. If not, I solo, its as simple as that. Most of the pilots I get stuck with don't watch the skies and have the nose down. I try to spot an incoming helo or jet, but I cannot mouseover it because of the angle. I'll type "HELO BEHIND US!!!!!1" while we're being shot at, and they still hover. So, I tell them they need to do something else and I solo. Usually, when they know they're getting shot down over and over, they move on.

I love soloing for the simple fact that I can find and line up my shots perfectly. I usually fly at a 10 degree angle and watch the sky first, and if nothing is there, I'll go on a tv run against a tank or car I see driving by.

Soloing exists because of bad pilots, its as simple as that. I'm sure a uber gunner would like a bad ass pilot just so he didn't have to worry about crashing. He can just MG and TV to his/her hearts content and rake up the points.

Enough on tv soloers, J10 whores are the real issue.

That happened to me on a 24/7 Dalian server last night. I jump into the gunners seat on a newly spawned chopper. Some guy gets in as well with 2 others running up to it. He takes off and just spins around, then heads out of bounds. I tell him to not tk me and lets rock and roll. So, he tks me by me being out of bounds and flys over to pick up his clanmate. So, this ticks me off beyond measure. I spawn at the airfield (PLA) and I take the other chopper spawn. I watch him on the minimap head to rape the carrier. I follow him over there and ram him, causing him to get the tks, hahahahahahahahhaha. I call him a cuntfrog and he's like, "you're the one that rammed me, don't be mad at me," failing to realize that I was the one he just tked. I let him have it after that.

All he was was a fucking base raping cunt. The next round I got on the opposite team of him and his buttbuddy clanies and they proceeded to rape the shit out of the airfield and chopper spawns. Fucking faggots. I still got like 80 points that game too, doing what you ask? Solo choppering, mwwuahahahaha.

Anyways, I don't like solo helo pilots not because "I get owned by them" or crap like that because it's usually me beating them senseless! I don't like it because this game is based on teamwork. There are two seats in the attack helo for a reason! This whole concept of teamwork is largely ignored by just about the majority of players in this game. I can understand that some of the "children" who play this game have no concept of teamwork but, older players should be using teamwork to their advantage.

A majority of the solo helo pilots are not team players, their egos are too big to work with someone to accomplish a goal. If a good squad of players attacks a solo helo pilot in unison, he won't have a prayer. Now if that same pilot has a gunner, the outcome of that battle would probably end up in the chopper teams favor. It's just like I have stated in other similar posts...IF YOU WANT TO FLY AN ATTACK HELICOPER SOLO, GO PLAY A FLIGHT SIM! A couple of good ones are the Apache Longbow series and Commanches series of games/sims. Hell, give me your address and I'll send you my old ones!

How is he trolling? He offered his opinion on the subject at hand. He didnt assume all solo pilots were not team players but the majority. Where as you assume everyone on your team doesn't know what TV stand for?

When I admin'd my clans server, I never kicked for this tactic. I don't like it but its nothing to kick for. Unless he is tk'ing to get it by himself. 9/10 times the solo-helo-specialist was on the losing team anyway. Coincidence?

I never said my team doesn't know what TV stands for, I was stating a point that gunners who use the MG to take out a tank/helo deserve to be kicked in the face. They shouldn't jump straight into it, that's all. I know I sucked BAD at first. I thought that when shooting the tv missile, moving the mouse would move the missile afterwards. I found out by chance that it didnt. Nobody was nice enough to tell me how to work it. Now, I work with people, and I assume at all times that nobody knows how to do it, until I see them.

I haven't had the horror of being hung out of bounds to die or anything like that, but I like being able to switch seats in mid flight.

There is nothing like being in a blackhawk and mini-gunning folks you can spot and then having that horrible sinking feeling and noticing the pilot bailed out on you without saying anything. If you spot it quickly enough, you can still get in the drivers seat and recover

black hawk is a different story altogether. You can't actually kill anything with a black hawk unless you were to ram into it ..and even then "tis only a flesh wound" lol
