I need a new sound card, this one is O.K but due to the drivers Creative has released for it, the mic port doesn't work and I really want to use TS. I'm buying a whole bunch of other stuff so it would be prefferable if this were under 20$, but 25$ is the limit. I need one that has decent sound quality and that the drivers that are current for it would allow me to use a mic. I hope this is possible. My current sound card is a Creative Sound Blaster AudioPCI(ES1370) Sound Blaster 64/128 (WDM). I found it in my garage, lol.
Roll back drivers = fixed mic problem? For that price, I doubt you can get anything too great... sorry.
Well, i'm not looking for anything better than what I already have as far as sound quality goes, I want one with the same quality(my current card is cheap shit too so that should be easy), and I want the mic port to work. I already tried rolling back the drivers, no luck.[BBF*EF]Stuka wrote:

The one I suggested isn't much more, and I have never heard of or about Chaintec sound cards. In fact, I don't know how good their video cards are even, but I doubt there would be many problems. For the price though, I would recommend what I linked. Creative > All.
I can wait, i'm gonna save up for a Creative Sound Blaster Live! because they look fairly good for the price. I just hope the drivers don't suck like the drivers for this one or it'll be a waste.[BBF*EF]Stuka wrote:

I won't be able to afford the X-Fi until next year and right now it's not very high on my priority list due the very heavy price tag. I'm going to ask for an Audigy 2 ZS for Christmas but til then i'm going to use the Sound Blaster Live!.a fly wrote:
