i either want to get an evga 7900gt and waste like $400 and buy another graphics card when direct x10 cards come out or  evga 7600gt CO  $179.99 and then buy the directx10 cards...i dont want to spend $400 then another $500 when directx10 cards come out but the 7600 is 128bit memory interface when the 7900 is 256bit.. does it really matter.. these are my pc specs

the new intel core 2 duo e6700 2.66Ghz Oced to 3.31 Ghz :-)
Asus motherboard :-)
4 gb of ddr2 ram:-)
680watt power supply:-)
1 terabyte of harddrive :-)
nvidia 5200:-(

7900gt for sale for around 250... screw the 4GB of ram, you wont need it. get 2X1 GB of G.skill DDR2 800mhz cas 4 ram.

sell 2GB for extra cash lol since you have the ram already lol you can get a 7900GT for 240USD, not 450... 450 would be a GTX

You dont have a Monitor...   What does it matter that your video card sucks?

Seriously..   What res do you need to do?  Makes a BIOG difference in Video card selection.

Also, what BRAND of Power Supply is it? 

Seriously Misdesigned PC....  Should of done a bit of research before Wasting money on 4 gigs...  Windows XP doesnt know what to do with 4 gigs.....

Whats the resolution on the Monitor.....

Thats not such a good power supply....  It'll do....  But I wouldnt run SLI or Crossfire with it.

i've had three sets of g.skill, one ddr400 and another ddr500.  the first set of ddr500 i had to rma, but otherwise this second set is working solid at 250mhz 24/7.  good stuff, great price.  don't expect it to overclock past what it's rated though, since the chips don't respond to voltage (at least the ddr1s anyways).

for its price/performance ratio... HELL YEAH! 200 bucks for 2 gb ddr2 800 ram cas 4 i have it on my system and its great

If you want to spend an extra $200, Corsair has DDR2-800 with CAS3-4-3-9 (I believe those were the last three numbers).
