Visit Normandy, I went there when I was 8 and visited Point Du Hoc and Utah Beach.  There's plenty of WW2 and WW1 history lying around in France.  Lot's of other history too but you know what I mean

I just don't understand all the France bashing that's going on because most of it is just plain false. I live 5 minutes from france (guess where) and i go there on a daily basis. I've been all around it and i just got back from a week in the med on the southern coast of france. All you idiots who keep going on about hair armpits are just...wrong and stupid for saying it. The south is very hot and the beaches are great. it's like a different country when you go up north. Although i'm not sure about the whole "you can go into someone's farm and they wont mind eating lunch with you" that's kind of bullshit. Anyway, france isn't great, but its just like most other developed countries, but has some real hot chicks...Although not as hot as in my country.

You want this thread because you are fed up of america bashing yet your first line opens you up to a good flaming

Actually, France couldn't care less about a new USA. They had just had their asses kicked out of the Americas by England and would have sided with anyone that was an enemy to England at the time.....Bottom line....France didn't side with America, they sided AGAINST England.  Kinda like WW2, sided with Germany in Paris ( except for the relatively few resistance folks, and god bless them) until the invasion of Normandy then they all crawl out of the woodwork waving American flags........Ahhhhhhh ya gotta love the French.

Maybe Canadian French people?? But not mainland TRUE french people, they learn english in schools and are more than willing albeit not as willing as most, but they will speak english with you.  French Canadians however, ARE PRICKS, NOT ALL, but most that I have encountered over my 26 years!!!
