I know its an ATI way of beating SLI but how does it work?
Crossfire basically does the same as having 2 CPUs... split up the work. It even detects if you have one slow and one fast card and then gives the faster the more critical jobs and the slower one..... the others
the cool thing about crossfire tho is that you dont need two of the same cards, like SLI does, and its more of a master/slave relationship then SLI is....only one of the cards needs to be a crossfire card.
Can u run crossfire on a sli motherboard?
Or sli on a crossfire board?
Or is it just u have to have sli board to run sli and crossfire board to run crossfire?

in most cases, yes to the first 2.....but you might have to tweak some stuff in the bios.
no, you can run CF on a CF or SLI or intel 975X board, but SLI only on SLI boards[TUF]Whiskey_Oktober wrote:

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
Wait so, u need a X1900XT and which ATI card?
if you want to do cf you need any ATI X1x00 card with any ATI X1x00 CF master card
