Yeah, that CD will work, but why not spend the extra $12 and get a DVD burner?

I don't think I have room for it in the case. Also, I don't want to spend anymore than neccesary!

It looks to be a good mobo : http://www.anandtech.com/textdoc.aspx?i=2797&p=9

Btw how much was the ram you found for cheap? I will keep my eyes open and see if i find ddr2 800 @ the same price, which would make future upgrades easier/cheaper.

Is this a better CPU than the Pentium 4 HT:

AMD Athlon 64 3500+, 2.2 GHz, 2.0 GHz FSB, Socket 939
the L2-cache of the P4 [im usin a P4 560 HT-Tech @3,6GHZ; quite good] is bigger, i personally would prefer intel...

if you need it, my x800xl is for sale.  on most benchmarks, this card is pretty much equal to the x1600xt.  let me know if you're interested.  i'm running bf2 on full high and 1280x1024.  the only time it drops under 20fps is when you're looking down from certain rooftops on oman, surge, or harvest.  5813 in 3dmark05.

You DO realize that a DVD burner will also burn cd's right?  I strongly suggest you spend the few extra bucks on a DVD burner.
