That's your response?  Truly you dwarf my intellect with your razor sharp wit and ability to discourse.

Ultimately, Capt. Foley, this forum has neither the collective intellect or individuality to form personal opinions which are able to be supported and furthered by their poster on any significant scale.  See above quote for supporting evidence.

Hating America is "in", so to be popular, people blindly jump on the bandwagon.  I'm not saying there aren't valid reasons to be upset with the nation, but most who do hate America aren't really sure why they do, they just do it because they think they should.  So, regardless of whether or not valid reasons may exist, if the individual is not aware of them, they're simply perpetuating ignorance by following others to any camp.

Someone’s been using the dictionary.com again. Well done you.

Hating America is “in” because you try to impose your brand of democracy on everyone else.

As for my opinions, they are none of your fucking business.

In WWII we gave supplies to Britian and Russia for free(and thats not all). where the hell did dictionary.com come into play?

this next statement is indicitive of a fundamental weakness and inability or ignorant unwillingness to seperate the actions of a nation from the psychology of the populous.

And if your opinions are none of my business, why do you post them and go so far in imposing your brand of thinking on others as to flame not only opposing biewpoints but make ignorant attempts to flame the individual?

so taking a pass on every other aspect of your post I see.  Wisely done.  Excellent decision.

You're the sort of person who will hate and despise for its own sake and pay no attention to any potentially positive or redeeming action of our nation as a whole either by its people or at a governmental level.  Furthermore, you are entirely unable and unwilling to see past your own screen of hatred to even try to glimpse a genesis in good intent no matter what the outcome may end up being.

I think if this were true some of money should be spent on history books that are accurate and then you should read them. Have you heard of the "lend lease" agreement...

You know what I find funny about this?  When negative karma was taken away, it looked to me like most people who espoused Liberal points of view saw their karma shoot up, whilst most with Conservative points of view saw a much less dramatic rise.

A little addition to that statment if we help a country by freeing it from a tyranical dictator then we are called war mongers if we sit idly by while a tyranical dictator kills his ppl then we are called inhumane monsters. So which is it war mongers or Inhumane monsters?

According to whom?
BBQ was invented by the slaves in the early days of the colonies/united states. They were given cuts of meat that were classified as "tough" and "scraps". To make the meat tender they slow cooked the meat in a pit with low heat. The meat was placed in the pit before work in the morning and by night when all work was done the meat would be taken out  and be very tender. So to ansure your question, According to all the BBQ people that live in the states east of the Mississippi. (thats alot of people:D)

oo, chilly.  Looks like I hit a nerve.  Actually, with the exception of this post, all my posts here were on topic with the exception of responding to direct and pointed attempts at attack ... by you actually.

Care to take your own advise?  No, no I thought not.

Ultimately you're just proving the point I tried to make back on the first page and a few times since.  Thank you for aiding me and being my instrument of demonstration.  You've helped illustrate my point beautifully.

EDIT - you still didn't say if you were a happy person.

I think its time for me to chip in.

Yes. America owes a helluva lot to the rest of the world - especially considering they have a twentieth of its population.

And consume a quater of its resources.

On a similar note, the lot of us owe a lot. We (the richest 10%) use up HALF the world's resources. Hmm...
The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.

it's almost like we're all part of a global economy relying larglely on eachother to maintain what we've come to know as a comfortable existence ... huh.

Where did you get the statistic of our consumption of resources?  I'm not refuting it at this point, just curious where you got that from.

I will say that from the onset that seems to be a spun statistic as it would imply that the whole of the Earth's available resources are consumed by the top 10% of the populous.  It may be true that the top 10% consume 50% of all resources expended each year, but I'd be curious as to the source of that statistic as well.

94.3% of statistics are made up on the spot anyway.

But you didn't do it to free them.  If you did, what about the rest of the world still living in oppresion?
