i just downloaded the new patch, and my score is 3 5th away of the Sergeant Major. but when i look into my BFHQ the progress bar says that im only 1 3rd on my way to sergeant major?? does anybody know??

its back to front than what it used to be, ie if the white line is only a quarter of the way from left to right, you have 25% left till rank up.
Mine hasn't worked since 1.03 either...works on gameslave, but not in the actual game. Annoying, but I got use to it.
Similar to those above mine hasn't shown anything since 1.03. I'm sorting of hoping the new patch with correct that, though it's not that important. But I wouldn't rely on it as an accurate measure of progress any which way.

yeah, that progress bar was fucked since 1.03. I didn't read the changelog for the 1.12 patch. Do they say it's fixed ?

yeah oke i know that it works but how can it be that i have 30.000 points that the bar says im on 33% and the next rank is 50.000????
why use bfhq when you can use bf2s?
The progress bar in BFHQ is calculated differently than it is done on this site! The progress in BFHQ shows your progress from the score of your last rank to the score of your next rank. This site shows your progress from 0 to your next rank.
Here's an example.
First Seargent requires 20,000 points
Seargent Majour requires 50,000 points
Let's say you have 30,000 points (same as original poster)
BFHQ will determine your progress as being 33% because after you reached 1st Seargent at 20K, you need an additional 30K to reach the next rank and you have only gained an additional 10K (10K/30K = 33% or 1/3)
BF2S will show your progress as being 60% because it determines the progress from 0, not the last rank. So, 30K/50K = 60% or 3/5)

the way the progress bar works is that it shows how much percentage in between your ranks.
so say for simplicity's sake and my lazyness to check UBAR, rank1: 10 points and rank2: 50.
when you have 20 points, your bar isn't 2/5 full. it's 1/4 full, becuase you've earned 10 points since rank1, and you need 40 points to get rank2.
My bar hasn't worked either. My wife installed the patch and her points were going backwards. She even lost a rank. We called EA. to see what was going on on hers was the first reported points counting down rather than up. They reset the points and the rank for her so all was not lost.

Weird actually, if you do a stat compare using BFHQ the person's stats bar will be right.
