Concerning the US involvement in WWII. The US did not win the war. Germany would have fallen without the US anyway. If a country could claim to have won the war, it is the Russians. You might want to bring the circumstance of lend lease.... you were paid for that. Actually the war between Japan and the US was only the result of a series of well conceived insults against Japan.

1. I started posting in this forum because of an argument I saw between CameronPoe and Captn. Foley if I remember correctly... What amazed me was that although these two had completely different opinions, they managed to pull out this debate without any name calling and with a lot of respect for each other.

I'm not quite sure on how many people actually know, that the words "anti-semitic", "semites" and everything derived from is racists when used in relation to people. The term semitic is only neutral when used strictly in a linguistic sense.

Funny thing is, that not only Hebrew is classified as a semitic language but also all Arabic dialects and Syrian.

Furthermore some people must really learn to seperate religion from politics. Being Jewish does not automatically make you a citizien of Israel.

But another thing is also indisputed: the legal foundation of Israel is based upon the principles of the Zionism, which one might safely call being religious fundamentalist.

Additionally, judgeing by Israels historical actions and policies as a state, the UN actions are definitely with a point. As the Palestinian militias are not a country, they cannot be sanctioned like one. Also I believe that without forced relocation and expulsion from their land they owned for generations, Palestinians wouldn't have had the urge of shooting at their oppressors. I wonder where the US with their urge to bring freedom and democracy to all were by the time the rights of the Palestinians were brutally suppressed.

Also I do not see a point in refuting claims, Israel has been treated "unfair" by the UN, when the basis is a biased report by the perpetrator giving only numbers without any proof. Where are the links to the source of unfairness aka the UN reprimands?

By the way... be careful with the use of the term anti-semitic... Arabs (Palestinians included) are also semites.

you can look up the votes and resolutions against israel on the UN's own website, but don't plan on doing anything for 2 days, it takes some time (you'll find they're pretty much all written after Israel has chosen to defend itself after being on the receiving end of a terrorist attack)

11. ....urged sanctions against Israel if it did not withdraw from its invasion of Lebanon..."

Where was the resolution condemning the Arabs for starting the 6 days war?, where was the resolution condemning Iraq for launching scuds into Israel?? Again no proof that the UN has been historically fair to Israel.

So let me get this straight. All the countries of the world, aka the UN, came up with all these resolutions against Israel, and all you could say is that the UN is anti-semitic?

Did it never occur to you that maybe all the countries of the world may be right and Israel may be wrong?
Isn't that more probable than all countries except Israel being anti-semitic????

And as far as this "we're merely defending ourselves"  epicheirema is concerned, all you have to do is take a look at the map and see who is expanding and who has been shrinking over the years. Face it, Israel has  been on the attack ever since its creation.

I guess the most fair decisions of the UN was simply not to decided to wipe Israel of the face of the earth. Being anti-semitic as they are, that would have been a logical conclusion.

Ok... enough of sarcasm. Anyhow... seing the fascist aggressiveness of Israel, I wonder, why the UN has not yet put complete sanctions against Israel in place or declared a war on them as they did with Iraq when they invaded Kuwait....
