OK  I dont need to hear any $hit for my computer... anyway...

I have a Dell 4700 and I currently have an MSI Radeon X600 pro w/128 mb and it is PCI-Express.

I tried to install a ATI Radeon x700se with 256mb but my computer didn't like it.  My comuter didn't boot up or anything.  I thought I was screwed into only being able to have the 128 MB cards.  I currently have a 305 watt power supply in my computer.

My question is this.  If I upgrade my Power to a say... 450 or 500 watt supply, could that solve my "stuck to 128mb" dilema?

I have seen a few posts here and there about upgrading the Power supply and being able to install the larger/better video cards.

Any truth to this???

THANK YOU!!!!    if you can please email me at [email protected]    or just post here

Did you look in your bios for graphics  enable/disable? Maybe it's disabled. Powers supply shouldn't stop it from at least trying to boot unless it's dead which it's not.

Bad card? Can you try it in another computer to verify you got a working card?
