Right click "My Computer" then Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery. Unclick everything under System Failure. Now when you get a BSOD it will stay until you manually restart. This will let you see which file is causing it.

go into your bios, and go into chipsets and there would be memory spd, then set it to manual or off, then bump the 2nd top one by 1.

OK turning the timing up won't make it better.  Odds are it will make it worse by running the ram faster.  Post the blue screen error here.  I am thinking it sounds like a video card or driver issue.  Maybe a bad sector on your drive that it is trying to load from.

If you me turn it up by slowing it down IE looser timings then yes it may do the trick.  Also make sure you disable everything before loading bf2.  Anti virus p2p any monitoring utilities.

If you're having trouble with the memory timings comment, be aware that most if not all of your mass manufactured PCs (Dell etc) will not have this option.  Even if you've got a custom built PC, it may be easier to just look for a spot to load default/failsafe/whatever settings for memory.

Many times, this type of error will be bad memory, so your upcoming replacement may cure the problem, but there are other things that can cause it.  A whole slew of other possibilities exist ranging from corrupted files (or bad drivers - change any lately?) to bad hardware (motherboard, hard drive, memory et al).

****EDIT****
Didn't see Illusions post before I made mine, but I'm agreeing with him.  Most of these errors I see are video drivers actually, but on non tweaked PCs, I've seen a lot caused by memory problems.  I assumed what cyborg_ninja was talking about was increasing the numbers to relax the settings.  If you've tweaked memory timings (doesn't sound like you have though), this could in fact help.

Yes i didn't tweak with the memory cause i don't want to fuck anything up. I called my computer store down the street and they told me to buy new RAM and update/reinstall my drivers for my video card. I have a custom built PC by the way.

Try older drivers first.

As a general rule, always try the free thing first

I was just making a joke.  I may not be very good at it

I have that same ram (lots of us probably do, it's good, and priced well to boot).  Hope it fixes the problem.

That's ether your CPU or your RAM tripping over.

If you overclock: Ether give it more voltage or pull the FSB back.

Anyone else: Your CPU may be expiring overheating. Check the temps.

Sounds like bad RAM. Are the BSOD errors the same each time or is it totally random?

Ok guys. Really bad news. I am on a different computer right now because my is gay. i unistalled the drivers for my video card and my mobo. Then i reinstalled them. And i went to get onto the internet and it wouldn't let me. So i went into start>run>CMD and typed in ipconfig and nothing came up. All it said was windows ip coniguration. Did you uninstall your NIC drivers? If so, find out the manufacturer and download the drivers from them. 3com? NetGear?

edit: I'm assuming you have an onboard NIC. Go to the manufacturer of your mobo. Asus...whatever

You'll have to use a working computer with a cd burner.

Whatever's clever bro. You just need to get that .exe over to the broken comp
