Asus S96J( with 945PM chipset) Merom question.

I'm going to get the S96J barebone and build the laptop my self but my question is can this support Core 2 Duo after a BIOS update? Cause I tried looking on Asus's website and the S96J is not listed on their product lists. I already googled it and it came up with different answers some say it wont and some say it will.

So will it support Merom?

no. since the new VRM requirments all exsisting core duo boards cant support merom.

thanks for reply, I'll go and cancel the order and wait for Merom laptops then.

merom chips will be out in like a week, i think the mobo's may come sooner
