Which model are looking at Dell? The Inspiron 9400??

The Intel PRO is ok. I have the 2915 and it's working fine.

As for the video cards, I know the Nvidia 6800 GTX go is playing BF2 without any problem, but I don't know where the 7300 is.
Actually the Inspiron 6400, just with the upgraded video card, and im fairly set on the overall software/hardware i will be getting. Now the issue is with the internet connectivity and whteher the internet provided by both the university im attending as well as the wireless card i have will be enough to load a bf2 server

Check out my review of the Asus S96J
http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic54009.html

2.13 Core Duo
2GBs DDR2
x1600 256 MB

Im a fist year college student, and I had to make the same choice as you. I picked the Asus S96J.

This is what I was looking for

Small and thin (not like those other gaming monsters)
Decent Battery life
On par performance

and the Asus does all that. Remeber your going to be lugging this thing around with ya, using in class etc.

Basically you (IMO) need to put usability before gaming performance.

Snipedya14 => The key is support and Dell Canada has been giving me great support. I don't trust corner shop or even futureshop to repair my lappy.

|Vap0rXX| => If you can get wired, it will be better. The reason is wireless is ok as long as you are the only one on the connection, but at the university, I suspect you will be sharing the same bandwidth with other student, performance will suffer more on wireless.

And yes it plays battlefield 2 just fine - Also I can play BF2 from anywhere in my house or garden, as the WIFI works peachy.
Skoob, does your Fuji have a problem with overheating?

Nor do I, but then agian I would not trust Dell either. I repair my own.

Secondly, I did have a bad stick of RAM, and the RMA process was

a. Faster then the likes of newegg and

b. No restocking fee.

I warranty is server by asus, not by the site. If my screen goes up, etc, I will RMA it back to Asus.
