Neither, but if I had to choose, Israel destroyed. That would take away much of Islamic terrorism support base (those upset about Israel, sp. Palestinians in refugee camps).

I am still suprised when I see people who think like you do. Israel is democratic, most of the middle east is not. Isreal tries to hit only millitary targets, Hezbollah tries to kill innocent women and children. Bubbalo, actually Israel has killed about 350 Lebanese civilians, 22 soldiers, and only 6 actual members of Hezbollah. Whereas Hezbollah has killed 24 Israeli soldiers and 17 civilians.
Even with these numbers I voted for Hezbolla to be destroyed, only because it is a terrorist organizationthat has overseen many attacks on American targets and I cannot support that.

Israel is not looking to take over lebanon, the BBC has admitted that many of it's "civilian casualties" were militants, Lebanon has allowed Hezbollah to control the southern border, if leb and the several thousand UN troops that have been on the ground for years can't get the job done let israel do it themselves

Hezbollah have been launching hundreds of rockets at Israeli civilian centres in the past fortnight. What they haven't been doing pretty much ever is blowing up cafes and cars with suicide bombers, etc. That's Hamas, Al Aqsa Martrys Brigade and various other Palestinian factions.kr@cker wrote:

Prior to the assassination of Hariri the Israel-Lebanon border saw several years of almost total peace - with hardly any cross border mortars or other such attacks. That was when Syria - the great US enemy - was placating the situation. The comparatively miltarily weak Syria weren't exactly spoiling for a fight with Israel. As such, the south of Lebanon posed little threat to Israel. Then came the assassination of Hariri and the west hounded Syrian troops out of Lebanon. This pissed Syria off big-time. They see Lebanon as their 'bitches' as it were and were annoyed to have to leave with their tails between their legs.
So Hezbollah (Syrian sponsored/armed) successfully kidnap two Israeli soldiers. It didn't take a psychic to predict the response Israel would give. So the tit-for-tat bombing of Lebanon and Israel has ensued since. But wait *OMG* Syria have the solution (if they do say so themselves)!!! They'll talk to the US about re-entering Lebanon to keep the peace!!!! Hurrah for Syria!!!! */sarcasm*. Does anyone see the pattern here? This has all been a cynical ploy by Syria to get their mitts into Lebanon again. Syria 'can provide a peaceful solution' - PR stunt par excellence (except it obvisouly would never work because they're too much of a paraia at this stage). I think it's sad that Lebanon pays for Syrian meddling.

I have family there and have visited twice. There are soldiers on every block, I stepped into the butt end of an israeli m16 on a soldier in a music store. I won't condone what either side does and I have jewish blood. He who has the biggest gun isn't right because of it
