There is no reason for us to go war with china except for taiwan china wants it back and the us said it will defend it from a chinese take over. Ive heard people so people say that china can raise an army of 200 million but they have no way to move it thats there problem so if we ever fought them the us would proablly win. Because if they wanted to attack taiwan or the usa they would ahve to swim. Plus we have way more planes they would never get here.

i am VERRY mad at all the people thinking that china would win a war with us. FIRST of all, in 20 years 80% OF CHINA will be ELDERS. i have a friend in china right now and she says that they do have military demonstrations where they drive in an almost parade with their tanks but all of it is very outdated and we have the best on the market for tools of war.

Of course, we have an insane military budget.

NATO and our allies spends 2/3 to 3/4 of all military spending in the world. Depending on who you count(Russia and China arent in there).

the big difference between Soviet and China is that China isnt an imperialistic communism while soviet was. i dont think China will try to rule the world. i seriously doubt a war between China and USA will happen

We'd better hope that China doesn't try to take Taiwan.  What the instability in the ME has done to oil prices, a similar conflict over Taiwan would do the same thing to computer component prices.  Just not a pretty thought.

china takes taiwan = bye bye to motherboards, ram and video cards. end of it, if china takes taiwan, ram and mobo prices will jack up

That's a fact.  Other than the manufacturing that IBM does for NV, ATi and NV both depend on UMC and TSMC, both Taiwan companies, for their fabrication.  RAM could be still be made using Micron and Siemens chips, but supply could be very tight.  Motherboards would become almost non-existent.  A truly sad, sad day.

You fell victim to one of history's most classic blunders.  The most famous of which is, "Never get involved in a land war in Asia."  But, only slightly lesser known is this, "Never go in against a Cicilian when DEATH is on the line!"   HAhahahah, hahahahaha, hahaha-

+1 to the first to identify.
Probably identified already, but I'm going to do it anyway (too tired to read anymore). Princess Bride.
