BF2S Forums Help Please!!!!! Cant Unlock Weapon!!!!!

I was promoted to a staff sergant today and when the window to unlock weapons came up I couldnt unlock the G36E.....I coul'nt choose any of the new weapons onl the old one.....can anyone tell me why??
