Now that you have been proven wrong I trust you agree with my statement fully.
Lowing, since you know about UN Resolution 1441, I trust you will remember what happened subsequently.

8th November 2002, Iraq accepted the terms of the resolution.

On 27th November, the UN weapons inspectors restarted their inspections.

On 7th December, Iraq handed over a 12,000 page document what it said is a current and complete declaration of all of its chemical, biological, nuclear and missile programmes. In the declaration, Iraq denied having any nuclear, chemical or biological weapons.

So, you see, Iraq complied fully with the resolution.  As we know, with the benefit of hindsight, Iraq had no WMDs.

Source: BBC News - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle … 773213.stm
So you must also remember that France admitted as of March 17th ( the deadline for disarming) that Iraq had not fully complied.....http://www.pbs.org/newshour/updates/iraq_03-10-03.html

So the rest is just a matter of deciding if you are going to act on promises made that action will be taken if they do not fully comply with 1441. The rest is history isn't it???
We all know (now) that there were no WMDs and that the declaration made, in accordance with 1441, in November was correct.

Hans Blix, head of the UN weapons inspectors said on 7th March that Iraq was fully complying with the inspection teams requests.

What's left that Iraq wasn't complying with?

Show me one example where the US has stolen oil from anyone. We buy it , just like everyone else does.

Those were not "alleged" missiles that constantly, day in and day out, were shot into Israel by Hazbolah.

As far as me having something to say to you, I don't believe that I have beaten around any bushes, letting you all know how I feel about your apologist, appeasing, peace at any price, attitude toward the terrorism.

You also nailed it right on the head when you said "My country has nothing to do with anything". All this tells me is you must be fucking french or something along the lines of their attitude, that nothing matters in the world unless they have to surrender to it. If I didn't make myself clear enough to you, let me know and I will gladly rephrase.

LOL, so not being compliant and not being sufficiently compliant is different how?? Also in my book, NOT being sufficiently compliant is the same as NOT being FULLY compliant.

So they thought that 10 years of bullshit by them could have been extended even longer and they only needed a little more time to be fully compliant??

But according to you they were not breaking any resolutions at all, so how can you claim that maybe they thought they needed more time to comply if they weren't in violation in the first place??

No, they'd started down the right road, and were going down it.  And I did say they weren't breaking the resolution, but resolutions typically have timeframes to be done by.  To break they have to not meet requirements based on time.

Ok, so lets say Iraq failed to comply with UN resolutions just for argument's sake. If that is the case, than it is up to the UN security council to enforce compliance. However, only 2 of the 5 permanent members of the UN SC took part in the Coalition. The U.S. and U.K.

When a 'war' is being waged in your home land rules of engagement can go out the window.  When you are looking at wounded troops, who CAN'T fight back then you would hope some ethics would be used.  Those are ignored at times by heated up troops.  You have to look no further than our own police force at times to see this.  If a war came to our country's land like it's been brought to the middle east...I guarantee you that you would see similar acts performed by 'local zealots' who may have lost a loved one in earlier actions.

I don't want to sound like a bleeding heart liberal in this.  I have friends who are currently serving in this theatre and a brother who just returned as a 'deeply scared' medic (he turned down the opportunity to appear on HBO's program...but leant a voice track).  I'm just trying to post the other side of the coin.  Because for every yin there's a yang, and for every redcoat there's a patriot...

No not in this case, they were complying with some of the resolutions, up until they kicked out the UN inspectors. After they broke resolutions that they already had been complying with, there really is no sense in a time limit to restart is there??

LOL, uhh once again, you said earlier that they never breached their obligations to the UN and the cease fire agreements that they signed off on. Now you are admitting that they did in fact kick out the inspectors ( which was clearly a breach of the resolutions set forth by the UN.

They were stalling for time during all the "negotiations" as to who, what, when, and where the UN inspections were to start again. You are nuts to think that Iraq needed 10 years to start RE-complying with their obligations to the cease fire. If you see it as anything other than stall tactics, ( probably to get their WMD's out of the country) you ARE as naive as all your liberal comrades.......LOL, comrades,........no pun intended.
