Have just starting commanding (thanks to the guys that wrote the excellent guides, BTW -- big help), and I have a question:

Playing MEC on Kark, for example, if you dropped a supply crate next to your Scan trailer (in prep for an enemy incursion, of because they have taken the Warehouse), and a guy comes along with C4 and blows the trailer, does that blow the crate as well, or does the crate survive and begin immediate repair (assuming, of course, the spec ops guys din't blow the crate as well)?

It depends on how close the crate is. If it's close enough, it'll usually be destroyed as well. However, most SpecOps are smart enough to refill from the crate and C4 that as well.

if it's right next to the trailer it will blow too (in most cases the blast radius is large enough to destroy the crate)

When I command, the crate will blow up more than 90% of the time

Thanks guys, for both the responses and the lack of smart-assery. Nice to just get some good answers.

when a crate is next to a trailer and someone blows the trailer/arty up and the supply crate at the exact same time, the supply crate sometimes still repairs for a fraction of a second which is long enough to bring the trailer/arty back to up. thats why you set your c4, reload, toss a grenade on the supply crate, then detonate the c4.

what i have done in the past is place the c4 away from the crate so it just blows up the asset then it repairs then i do it again and again easily 20pts from doing it

yep...if the crate was dropped there by the "enemy" in an effort to repair my handywork, I'll re-supply my c4 and then chunk a grenade on it.  I'm sure most SpecOps do the same.

Depends, if you're smart it won't, although sandbags help.  When I'm specops they never last as I always make sure to leave a C4 on the crate if it looks like its far away enough to repair, only after refilling my C4 of course
