How about pressing escape instead of join game? Or running it in patch 1.03 or 1.12 as they don't have those CTD's?

if you make a map in a previous/later patch, sumtimes it wont work in the later ones or soemthing like that...

Ok,

When I try to run Bf2 Editor. it says can't start because it can't find '' BFMFC.DLL''
and when I try to run BF2_r is says it can't find ''Dice_py.dll''

What the fucks is that?

Zeon i get the same problem with CTD's on the join game button when trying to load my custom map. Will try what link said tomorrow.

im sure thats things like gameplay stuff, in the wrong places. did you increase the cap radiius of some of your flags?

and smokey, you can do wat zeon did and upload your map for meand il find out wats wrong for you.

Really nice guide, have had some problems with Crashing/hanging/freezing editor will test to follow your steps and see if it starts to work. Really nice guide again.

Nvm this, I found somewhere on the interweb that your terain details has to be set on medium or high.

This might sound silly, but if you want to "test the basics" I think you actually need a level with flags for each team and the level settings set up _fist_ or it will CTD. If you try to do USvsUS or anything batty like that, it will CTD.

On another note, can't we have a mapping/modding section in the forum for all our stuff like this? Shall I start a poll about it?

did you set low detail textures like i said in the guide (im sure i said it)?

if u set them, you wont need to turn up your graphics.
