I do belive that there is a tank hack out there. Sence when does a full healthy Abrams take one hit and blows up........ Something fishy out there....... Any one else seen this ?
I've blown up in a tank on what I thought was one hit but actually turned out to be an APC and a tank hitting me at the same time.

What exactly hits it. I've been killed in a tank by one shot from a TOW. Keep in mind that the tank has weak points such as the turret, rear, and treads.Possum61 wrote:

I will say that sometimes it seems like people either get lucky or have some sort of outside help.

Actually it's just the rear and the treads that you'll notice taking more damage than anywhere else. I've been one shotted before tho too, I've also one shot killed other tanks with a tank, it's basically just random luck.
I was a tank commander in the Gulf War and I put my time in a M1A2 Abrams. .....Belive me this game does not do them justice.. It can take a lott more abuse than this game allows

they dont go inside the body, they hit the body, stick, and explode, sending peices of shrapnel of the armor flying around inside
the tow will kill a full healthy tank with one shot to the tracks.
Well I know that I was in a tank before and another tank came up (my tank was FULL HEALTH) and hit me once in the front and I blew up. Only has happened twice.

i was playing Karkand and i had the t-90 and i was going to the hotel to help out. along comes a LAV. he sees me stops. doesnt shoot his main gun at me, instead shoots the missile and as im tryin to back up, i get hit in the front and explode. happened about 2-3 times. now i know nothing else hit me cause i was at full health and i know those missiles dont do a hell of alot of damage. but 1 shot /missile=death?. it was like he had the damn tow mounted on his shit.
I can get a 1 hit kill with a TOW on a tank, i always aim for the track or the bottom of the tank. Best map for getting this is Sharqui ( excuse the spelling lol), go US and spawn at the top flag and when the MEC tank comes flying through the obstacles to usually get to the hotel flag blow it with the TOW that is near the wall on the road. Same with the Hotel flag, the tank is usually coming over the top of the hill so aim for the underneath of the tank and watch it blow lol.

There may be hacks for the one shot kill on tanks... But i can tell you right now that it is totally possible to take a tank out with one shot from another tank and its legit. We have figured it out so im sure the rest of you can too. BTW It is pure luck if you can do it in a MP game.

One-shot kills do happen. It's largely luck. There are critical points on the tanks which take more damage than others. There's a tank guide around here somewhere with a link to the hit points....can't be arsed to search for it though.
Maybe in some of your situations, there was C4 laying around or already attached to your tank? C4 explodes when hit by an APC rocket.
Im love driving tanks and do it all the time, a TOW is the only thing that can 1 hit a tank and MABY a good AT gunner can hit you right under the turet but highly unlikely.
I use AT/TOW and try to hit the tracks, it does the most dmg, but usually I get shot before or they see the tracer, or I hit the dirt in front of them.
We tested a bunch of times and the one shot kill happens. Its more of a hit detection glitch than anything else. A tow can take down a tank in one shot and a good LAV driver can take a main battle tank down with one missle and a couple of cannon shots to the front tracks area. The one shot kill seems to happen most of the time on the under carriage or right where the tracks meet the front of the tank.
if you cant hit tank with TOW to bottom or to crawler track it can blow up wiht only 1 hit. And that crawler track is maybe best place to hit... Front or back or even from cheek.

The first shot ALWAYS leaves my tank with 3 bars of armor and then it either is already beeping and falling by itself or I get hit a second time.
I tried aiming for the tracks, I tried aiming for the hull-turret connection and I tried sneaking behind and shooting in the back but as soon as there is an enemy tank around I end up getting blasted. That´s why I only use tanks to kill infantry and try to make my way around enemy armor.
