I did some thinking (for a change) and pondered upon what awards are not awarded while playing in game. From my experience, this is what I've come up with thus far:

Far East Service Ribbon
Middle East Service Ribbon
Bronze Star
Silver Star
Gold Star
Navy Cross
Golden Scimitar
People's Medallion

If there are any others that I've overlooked, please post them!

my far east and middle east ribbons didnt even show up on my stats till like a week after i was supposed to have them

Yeah, I could've sworn I remember receiving both the Far East and Middle East Service Ribbons while I was playing in a round of Wake Island, yet I was watching a friend go for them and they appeared in his stats right after he had fulfilled the requirements but he never was awarded them while playing. So I guess maybe it was just my imagination or somehow I got them while playing right when the requirements were changed or something.

mine didn't, piss me off, just showed up in my stats. I was sooo waiting for the drum roll on this one.

Any ribbon or medal that has to do with playing a certain map and playing a certain army a specific amount of time do not show up in game.
