by the way, if you really can use the SF weapons in BF2 ( provided you have the points for the respective unlocks ), that is a cheap tactic by EA to make people buy the expansion...

Like most people weren't going to buy it anyway. The sort of people who won't buy SF probably won't be concerned about not having the guns in BF2. However, it could be taken as something of a cheap tactic (though the weapons, much like the unlocks will probably just be different rather than a 'power up' as such).
