I was just wondering!
Do you have to use Stinger (Surface to Air Missile) or can you get this badge by using an AA too?
Do you have to kill flying things?
Or can you be in an AA - kill infantery and get the badge?

thanks for the tip Fodder!!! never thought about that for some reason. i would think thats a lot easier than waiting to shoot down helis and jets! i am guessing you are talking about the ribbon not the badge though. to get the badge you dont have to kill a thing. just sit in a AA (singer site) and stare at the sky and you will get you the badge in 5 minutes or so.

yep, I got mine in a Linebacker on Kubra Dam I killed helis though. and a few infantry.
I never knew AA vehicles counted til my friend told me.

there is another easy way to get it
just play as commander,get in an AA vehicle or SAM and kill
11 people with artillery,after the 11 kill you recive your air defense ribbon

Play wake island, go to the furthest AA vehicle on the carrier and command

Wake is a good Map for AA. But I agree, just command the battle from an AA and use Arty

yeah right,wake island is a good map for it or just earn it with arty kills,i got mine yesterday

i got mine, but for some reason that round never counted on my stats the Ground defence ribbon i got on my next round and all subsequent awards showed up but i have to earn the stupid air defence again, luckily it wasn't that hard. I earned it on Kubra Dam, in a linebacker took down several attack helos and several helpless infantry

i hate it when i earn something and then i have too earn it again cause it didnt count it
just like on day on karkand i earned infantry officer,distingushed service and meritorious unit ribbon
all in one round and it didn´t count,that made me angry but i earned them again,wasnt very hard to get
them again
