Man to be honest I bit the bullet in January and haven't been happier. I dropped about 3300 on the sickest dell and got the whole warranty thing now if anything happens to it if the processor fan decides to take a shit on me it gets struck by lightening shit if i decide to take a piss in the exhaust fan they will replace it no questions asked and honestly Ive destroyed several perifials (yes i know its spelled wrong) by vomiting on it or spilling beer on em and to me that warranty is worth it. Now you may not have a serious drug or drinking problem this may seem pointless to drop a house payment on a wicked fucking computer with all the bells and whistles and the bad ass warranty but i did it and omg I'm happy as shit with it. Man sell a kidney fuck a few fat chicks or knock over a 7 eleven and grab you a dual gpu and dual cpu Dell XPS you wont be upset about it.

there are these things called paragraphs.  they're cool!  they seperate different ideas!  this way, people don't get hit by an enormous blob of words!

go-go paragraphs!

also, not sure how that psu will work out for you.  I recommend getting a different case (Thermaltake Armor kicks serious ass and will keep everything nice and chilly) and getting a good PSU.  I'd say 500W or better.  I prefer Intel to AMD, but that's just opinion and if you ask 10 people, you'll get 15 different answers.

How much would a comp cost that can handle bf2 on all high settings?

You might want to get DDR2 RAM instead or regular DDR RAM, thats what Im getting in the new computer Im building. You might also want a more powerful power supply because you might end up upgrading and then you wont have enough power for the new things. And what people said about the hard drives is true. Should mabey get 2 of them.

You dont need a new computer! You could get a new computer and give your old one to me?

I can barely run BF2.

P4 2.0Ghz
1GB RAM
80GB HDD
Nvidia Geforce 5200 128Mb AGP

Now its me who needs a new computer. Ive been putting up with this P.O.S since it was new.

Dude wait on the AMD, they should be supporting DDR2 ram here soon, if not already.  And Vista with DX 10, should be out in fall, im holding off on a new comp til those things come full circle.

well if you're doing it yourself, that kinda means by definition you're doing it on your own.  Just don't try to get bleeding edge stuff and you'll be cool.  I'm not necessarily saying I recommend that route as the lower you buy the quicker it is outdated.  But it can be done.  Assuming you already have a monitor of course.

Your graphics card has crappy cooling to it, that card WILL get VERY HOT without alot of cooling. My friend has a card that looks like that except its blue and has about 5 fans in his computer. Went over 80 Celsius.

Your power supply on your case sucks, you need a 450W or higher for your 7900. I suggest a 500W for better performance.
