1. When mines are placed they become invisible to the enemy, as they should be.
2. Ability to scan for enemy mines and remove them.
3. When placing or removing mines, have a delay to simulate the removal or placement. Makes the engineer solider vunerable to attack.
4. Maybe give the Commander the ability to see mines when they scan, or let all see when deploying the UAV, or both. Allow the Commander to direct engineer personnal to place or remove mines.

Personally, I think engineers should get a point for every 2 AT mines that they "defuse" - because how many people do you ever see or hear of doing this?

I dont think mines should be invisible tbh, unlesst you sit there for about 10seconds planting 1 mine to simulate the fact that you are digging a hole, activating the mine and then covering the hole back up.

yeah i've wrench'd a claymore once, and it worked.  i was scared shitless though.  mines you can remove because i've done it before, but i dont think you get any points for it so that's why nobody does it.

Well, I do play alot of golf, swim in my pool often, go off-shore fishing, and hang out at Mrytle Beach or Wilmington. So I usually do have a pretty redneck. Oh well, I wouldn't change a thing! I mean come on! You live in Northern Ireland!

I personally think that they should either lower the standards for 1 single repair point or broaden the validity of what can score a repair point.  I dunno, at least have defusing a mine count for a repair point.  I have to go to 64 player servers with only 10 people on in order to get my veteran repair badge.  I don't know what I can do about the expert. 
I also think that throwing an AT mine next to the line of sensitivity of a claymore should set off a claymore.  It'd be kind of an extra use for the AT mines since AT mines rarely hit squat anyways.

People say that you can defuse claymores if you approach them from behind, i.e. out of their FOV (so they wont blow up in your face). Ive never tried it, and dont plan on trying either!
You can do AT mines though, always handy on the big tank maps to jump out and defuse 1 or 2 mines in the road, and jump back in your tank and carry on.
You can apparantly, also "repair" the explosive barrels and fuel trailers. Never tried that either though!

There are already too many statpadders, so lets not give any points for AT mines defused.
Think about it, you and two of your friends go to play some BF2. You'll go to USMC, two of your friends go to PLA (this is just an example). When the round begins, you go somewhere quiet place where nobody is. Your friend drops unlimited amount of mines to the ground (the other friend is support and re-supplying all the time) and you defuse the mines. Oh yeah, you get 3506 points per round when doing this.

Well then your friend drops only 5 mines at once and you defuse them. When they are defused your friend drops another 5 etc. And the other friend is re-supplying all the time = Not fun.

This could be said about the same 2 friends bringing a VODNIK to a private place, shoot it up and repair it while in the 3rd or 4th slot.  There are already too many ways to stat pad and exploit.  Might as well give credit to those that actually play the game.
