i just patched 1.4 and now it wont even load the game and when i put my disk in the drive, were it shud say play now, it has been blackened out

after taking advice from a karma post...i have re installed my complete game and i am now downloading 1.3...that shud be patched within the hour, then i will follow the EA guide.....thanx ThePunisher_ITA_
