Excerpt from bf2s.com Forum rules:
10. Use proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization to the best of your ability. Failure to do this will result in your posts being taken less seriously, and most likely cause responses to be less than constructive.

Because it's a fairly recent non-Latin loan-word, there's no settled single "correct" way to spell the name of the Islamist group that's been on everybody's lips for the last five years.
The two main variants seem to be "al-Qaida" and "al-Qaeda", with the former usually found in North America, and the latter normally found in the UK and Ireland. In either case, sometimes the "al" is capitalized ("Al"), or the hyphen replaced with a space, or an apostrophe inserted after the "Qa".
The fact so many acceptable variants exist does not in any way mean there are no wrong spellings. And there are none so wrong as "al-Queda". Whenever I see it, I am not only distracted by cravings for quesadilla (smeared with hummus?), I also tend to conclude the author has difficulty separating Spanish and Arabic in his mind; as if it's all one big foreign language, spoken by one big, homogenous group (i.e. "foreigners").
This is not to say I automatically discount whatever is being said, just that I tend to be a bit more skeptical than I might be otherwise. I know this probably constitutes a prejudice on my part, but I am relieved to find it at least enjoys a modicum of support from the board rules, as indicated above.
Anyway, by all means, spell it the way you want, just bear in mind the possible consequences. As you were.
P.S. The good people at urbandictionary.com seem to think I am an idiot/troll. Maybe I am.
