now i have regular battlefield 2 1.3, i have advanced to lance corpral and unlocked the M95 and G3. I decided to buy SF today, it had a problem with the shaders (it "forgot" to unzip the shader files) so i fix all of that, and log into the special forces program. I cannot play on any SF maps unfortunately, because it said that i modified the files... anyway, for my question...

Can I unlock the Tier 2 weapons from Special forces on regular bf2 maps/servers without ever playing on a special forces server?

crap... then how do i fix my files? when i start up BF2 it goes to my desktop with a message saying i have to sync my shaders

try patching it with the full 1.3 patch again? that may fix some things. but it has to be the FULL 1.3 patch, not incremental.

Hmmmmm good question do u have any m8s that have sf if you do get uncorrupted files from him replace your corupted files or play your account on his com no good with that stuff that b the only thing i can think to do sorry if this is no help

i had the same problem and after doing a full reinstall of the 1.3 patch, not the incremental. it worked fine

yep, thats all you gotta do.  When you first install sf its at version 1.1 or what ever.  Like normal BF, it has to be patched to 1.3.

Okay do this.

1. uninstall all bf2 and bf2:sf files including patches.

2. install battlefield2.

3. install battlefield2:sf.

4. install the 1.3 patch.

There you go.
