Boris, stop it. The PB HARDWARE BAN has nothing to do with PB version, banned CD Key, GUID or anything else.
It's the hardware that is banned, ban is issued by evenbalance and only evenbalance can remove it.
@whilsky: I've come across some servers where the admins instead of regular "has been kicked from server to make place for an Admin" messages use various "has been permanently banned..." messages. If evenbalance says your hardware ban doesn't exists and you can play this might be your case?
Once again: the global bans are only given by evenbalance, generally only if the cheat tries to circumvent PB, leaked keys etc. Of course, there's a possibility of a mistake, that's why you can open a support ticket there. Global GUID and hardware bans are enforced on ALL PB protected servers.
Second type of ban is a MBL (master ban list) GUID ban, which is taken care by punksbusted.com and similar organizations. When a cheater is caught, his GUID is forwarded to all other streaming servers which will automatically kick him if he tries to join. The majority of bans falls in this category, you have to contact this organisation for appeal process, the bans are enforced on all streaming servers.
Finally, there are local PB bans, issued by server admin or automatically by server itself. Automatic bans are usually time based and/or removed at end of round - the reason is usually teamkilling or banned words. Server admin could ban you if he caught you glitching, harassing other players or something similar. Server admin is also the one that can unban you.
When in doubt, always contact server admin first - most servers have a site, a forum or a teamspeak server where you can contact the admin. Generally, not every admin is an asshole.
