RAM seems to almost always increase the framerate.  I switched from 512MB to one gig, and now it hardly lags at all except for those damn ping spikes caused by the patch.  Those would probably not work in your rig because you're using a completely different type of RAM.  DDR400 and under is it's own kind of RAM, the one you want to buy is the newer DDR2 or DDR3 RAM which is it's own kind as well.  It wouldn't work.

no that is ddr mem. it's ddr 500 instead of ddr 400. it should work fine but unless your overclocking or have a recent enough cpu you won't be able to run it at it's full speed

what he said

the ram is DDR (184 pins). i would just get normal DDR400 cl 2 ram if ur not overclocking... pc4000 is used when only u are gonna overclock it, which i suggest u do

completely agree ninja, overclocking > *

but beyond that, yes it would work, but wouldn't be worth it if you don't OC.  What processor do you have?

What CPU do you have,

Chances are you're not even running that DDR400 flat out. and this new ram will make no difference.

yes he is he stated he has a 939 procc. just not what one. if it's a newer revision then it has a mem divider to run ddr 500 without overclocking

i nearly have the same ram (i have the one with the cool heatspreaders) and i love them. But it makes no sense if you dont oc a great amount. if you stay near stock speed go for some low latency ddr 400 ram
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Yep, they'll work fine on it unless your processor happens to be a AM2 one. If memory serves I think you said you had a very similar spec rig as mine.

Curiously that memory is the exact same memory I have in my machine btw.

How much memory and what make do you currently have in your machine ss?

I usually get 100fps in BF2 with everything maxed out.

EDIT: Out of curiousity what motherboard model is it? Have you made sure to have the latest drivers for the motherboard etc? (bios etc etc)
