BF2S Forums help with ground defense gold

Be Commander and Sit on a TOW/HJ - 8/MG.

The best ground defense guns are on karkand but theres a good one on mashtuur near the backyard for kills.

thanks so all i have  2 do is be commander and sit on a gun this will get me the kills. is  it as  easy as that

go in a knife and pistol only server with no admin and mow all the noobs who are stat padding down ^^

The EASIEST way to get this badge is to go as commander on a 64 player karkand server that is about half full..

1) Apply for commander..
2) if you dont get commander then mutiny that bastard! you're 10 times better than him (unless its me ) PLUS YOU'RE GOING FOR A BADGE!
3) go to the nearest mounted machinegun or TOW

TOW/HJ-8 locations on 64 player karkand are:

Factory beside the Scan satellite
Gatehouse near the portakabins
Suburbs at the house
at the Square.
and at the USMC left hand artillery on the minimap


Personally i'd choose the TOW at the factory (if you're MEC).. as theres ALWAYS some USEFUL people that DONT go for the hotel

If you're USMC it couldnt be easier.. just start back where the tanks and APC's spawn and theres a mounted machinegun right there


now..  this is the clever part..

when you artillery someone while in the MG or TOW.. it counts as a Ground Defense kill..
all you need to do here is artillery 20 people while in the MG/TOW and you'll get your shiny badge

another reason i said to use the factory TOW (if MEC or USMC defending once you've captured it) is that you'll have the opportunity to use the TOW in action and score some extra kills

much like the 4 person HMMWV i scored last night

yeh, you can do it as commander with arty, but try and do it the hard way

the tow by the hotel on sharqi is a very good place to get it!!

Got mine on Sharqi, I was defending the TV station, many enemies came over the hill next to the TOW, easy targets with the MG

I have to try this, because i was playin on warlord and sat at the dam MG that faces the palace second floor and wasted everything that came thru the door. I counted twenty three kills but still no badge. Even at the end of the round i got best ground defense with 46 points. Dont know what happened. Now I have to try the commander way.

I got silver by being commander and sitting in mg using arty. in Karkand it´s very easy to get those medals

The best MAP is WAKE  go in server that attacking UAV is allowed.Then be a commander in chinese side drop arty in the carrier,  you got that  EXPERT easily..

Same with EXPERT AIR  DEFENCE.

Every time you become a commander go in TOW or AIR defence,CAR,TANK  you play then you save time rather than hiding like a rat while commanding..

The TOW at hotell at Sharqi, thats how I got mine. Those Vodniks never learns.
