Hi,
i am currently working on a new tutorial that would like to add in WIki's section to complee his own. But i would need somehting to continue it.

I need your page template, which would be this page for example. I'd need the source code of the page above the line under F-15 Strike Eagle. With all the right colors too please. Also, cut all links on the page, i will add them  meanwhile.

I dont know if an admin could forward this to Jeff, but i'd rather ask for the source code of page than take it and use it with permission. If i can have this, please email it to me.

Thank you

PoK

well, it would be best for you to contact someone from the wiki team directly, a list of staff members can be found here: http://wiki.bf2s.com/site/staff

the mod I would contact about this is Robin Hood. http://forums.bf2s.com/profile.php?id=2499

he can add you to the wiki team if he feels that is appropriate.

Hmm,

Lets respond before this gets out of hand...

First, sorry B. but Jeff (and perhaps the other admins) is the only one who can do that. But as mod or wiki member we have a little more persuasiveness (if there is such a word).

Anyways.

@ PoK:

You don’t need the ‘source code’ of that page. The wiki works like any other wikipedia, you enter your text in a dialogue form and with simple ‘text based codes’ layout is added. All resulting html is generated by the wiki. This allows a uniform layout and look of the pages.

or better yet here:

http://wiki.bf2s.com/vehicles/aviator/f-18

and click on the “Show pagesource” button. You’ll notice that everything is pure text, no html knowledge is needed (although it can be implied like any other code by using <html></html> code)

If you are interested in generating pages for the wiki, there are 2 options; write something awesome and post it in the forum. The wikiteam is always eager to find new blood, so if your stuff is any good, either they’ll add it for ya, or you’ll get an invitation. Either way your work is surely appreciated. (And with this request it will not go unnoticed )

There is a second way to adjust these pages, Chuy mentioned it before in the Feature Requests threads. He is planning a wiki weekend. Which means he’ll probably open the wiki for forum members and allow a joint collaboration of a sort. But you’ll be reading about that in the near future I guess.

So, in brief, if you want to generate some useful stuff, just write it and post it (for pics you can always use something like imageshack). Don’t try to make complex html pages, because there is no need for all that effort

Hope to read you soon
Cheers,
R

OK, i got the source code, and it seems Frontpage dont want to help me much. I cannot see the page in the preview applet, which piss me off. I will try to make the page  myself like here, on my website and post the link here. it will be my beta :D
