Well yesterday my comp was working fine. This morning when I tried to start it up it got to the Windows XP Home loading thing with the blue bar and after a while the blue bar stops moving and it restarts the computer with the screen to open in safe mode normally or last known good config etc. Im running it in safe mode with networking right now but does anyone know how to fix this windows problem before we have to call the tech dude?

You want last known good config or do a system restore

You'r drive may have errors on it. open a comand prompt and type

chkdsk /F

Did you install anything  on the last time you were on it?
Some program might clash with the system or settings you have your computer configured at.

Windows does that sometimes, it has mood swings you see, every time Gates got annoyed, the programers did something wrong in it and that is why windows is dodgy sometimes

Edit- you can try the windows memory software, or the one which saves your last movemtnes on the computer, from there, you just re-trace your steps to where you might have installed a buggy program, choose the step beofre that...and vualla, you have no more mood swings.

No I did nothing but play BF2 last time I was on and i only had one crash on BF2 and I restarted. I dont know what the heck the problem is... I have Trend Micro PC Cillin as my internet security. I cant believe i had system restore off because norton fag security turned it off and when i got rid of that it was still off...

Good lord man lol, ur all kinds of messed up...lets see what we can do.Turn the system off, when it starts to boot up, go into ur bios setup screen usually done by f2, or delte.....there is an error log in there that you can look up to see if it has anything listed.Im pretty sure this is a harddisk OR a bios/cmos localized problem, what you can do is if you have, or no someone who has....or hell even buy an external harddrive, you should be able to copy all of your important information to it.That way you can reformat/reinstall windows. However like I stated it could very well be a bios problem, since the bios has everything to do with the way your computer starts up, the error log will give you some direction gl.

Thats another thing. That bios setup screen doesnt pop up all the time and when it does i press F2 and its just a screen with grey lines for me. I guess Ill just end up having to format because I dont have a windows disk anyway. I just sent someone all my music and crap and thats all thats important to me lol.

Your gonna need that windows disk to reinstall windows.

Sometimes a re-install is not necessary. You can just run a repair. Don't take the first repair option wait until the second one. In other words boot from cd and select the options as if you were going to setup windows. When it asks where to install it choose C: drive. Windows will then look for previously installed copies. When it finds the previous install select that as your install option and you should get the option to repair it. The first repair option takes you to a command prompt which is no fun if your not sure what you're doing. It will delete your system32 folder which can makes some games fail but all your music etc should be OK.

Hope this helps.
