I noticed this a couple of times already, has anyone got on to a ranked server and noticed their rank reduced to private??. I was wondering why I keep getting basic badges.
Server bug....thats about all i can say since its been covered many times!!

isnt it fun, like your playing for 30 minuts and you get 5 basic again cos of your experience
and if you kill high ranked people "wtf" goes through theire mind

when this happens and you get points, they still count towards your account though.
lol I was playing with a general and he had the private glitch, he ranked up with the glitch to private first class, then he restarted bf2 and was a general again...

Wrong...it only updates if you still have your unlocks. If it says you are private and you have no unlocks then you don't gain any points but if you are private and have unlocks then you get the points.eagles1106 wrote:

This bug has been around for a while - it's really not that annoying...
...unless you want to command, use an unlock, or not look like a noob. Other than that, no problem.

ya, its just a glitch. all i do is change servers, and its usually back to normal.
