BF2S Forums Hacking or just strange?

Was playing Warlord today when a few ppl on my team were accusing a player on the other team of hacking.
I told them at first that he probaly wasnt a hacker and was probaly just a good player,having been accused of hacking myself before for getting lots of kills and due to the fact that I have never seen a bf2 hacker on a ranked server I just thought he was a good player.
I and the squad then went to capture a flag and found the player there and when we shot him the bullets were going straight through him and hitting the wall behind him and he couldnt be killed.
We found the only way of killing him was running him over,all the bullets we shot would go straight through him.
When we kept accusing him he left the server,
I immediatly checked the name out but couldnt find any stats under his name.
Any1 else experienced this b4

Never seen a hacker in game yet, just some good players that get whined at by noobs they kill.

I got accused of using a aimbot on Iron Gator by another player because I shot him with my pistol, reason for using pistol because my other weapon was the engineer shotgun and its not knowen for its long range shots.

Lets put it this way...   
~5000 BF2 servers.   ~500 of them _Stream Punkbuster_ (www.punksbusted.com)
(the rest either dont run PB, or run a generically "out of box setup" of PB. (often way out of date.))

~50-100 of those 500 servers that stream are Ranked servers.
~2300  people on the PsB MBL (caught cheating) and ~10-20 added DAILY. (the last few weeks.  there were only ~1000 on it up until early/mid-may...)

Thats on just 50-100 servers...   The other ones that stream that arent ranked are usually match servers...

There are a LOT of cheats out there... 

We have caught 2 of them in the last week on our own server...

Neither of which you would "suspect" of cheating based on thier play...  But the screenshots prove otherwise...

Punkbuster DOES work, when its setup properly, but sadly, so few admins or even players KNOW about how to set it up properly, they just assume out of the box that it will work.  Streaming is simple to do as a server admin.

If you want a safe, well as safe as it can be, game generally free from hacks?  look for and play on Streaming PB servers.  Theres some out there and usually they are admined/patrolled well...  www.punkbusted.com  and enter the IP/port and it will say if a server is streaming or not...
