Whenever i join a game and attempt to play on a map it freezes adn i get the the following errors .

anyone encountered this before? how do i fix it? any help will be recieved with + karma

my rig specs
Asus A8n SLI
AMD 64 3500+
BFG 7900gt X2 (SLi)
SB XFI fatality
WD 160 HDD
2 gig corsair

It's an issue with the new X-Fi drivers. Roll back to older drivers should clear it up.

Yes, it's due to the Beta drivers releasedin end of May. Someone on this forum suggested to manually copy the OpenAL.dll into the BF2 directory and rename it as BF2OpenAl.dll to fix this problem. I tried this, but on the second game i got again the "Busted App" Error.

I rolled back to the last official 2.0.7 drivers and they work fine.

According to Creative they're going to release official drivers at the end of june - but as you know about promises by software developers, they usually delay their releases...

error happends once or twice per day..... but with beta i got no more poping/crackling problem.

well with the old drivers i didnt notice any popping or crackling. although the beta drivers i could hear a difference in the sound. it sound much clearer. hmmm i think i would have noitced and crackling with these loud ass surround speakers (logitech z5300 THX)
