I don't understand why it's doing that, all the hardware detection programs said that it was only using 4x. So, does anybody know why?
How do I do that?
Won't make a difference. Don't bother.

It's possible that your motherboard only supports AGP 4x and the card is defaulting down to this lower speed for compatability.
They're 100% correct. It won't make any difference to your frame rates, so don't worry about it. The AGP bus won't be anywhere near overloaded with a 9600XT even at 4x.Those other guys wrote:

No thats different, that pertains to the size of the ram on the video card.s()mtingWong wrote:

Shut ur computer down, before your windows setup screen appears, you should be prompted to press one of 3 buttons...delete,f2, or insert. That will allow you to enter the bios setup screen, from there there may be an option of increasing your agp size, but like someone said maybe not if your mb only supports 4x
your mobo ony supports AGB4x, no difference really, it's just a slighly different power supply through the port.
