I only feel like that when I am in a squad and kicking butt, or doing very well in Armor.

Grrr... I hate that too when I am kicking ass helping my team to win and then it switches me to the other lameass team that is losing.
You get moved to the other team because of people switching to da winning side from da loosing side. Happens all da time.

I do what I can for my team.

The other night I had a round where I swam over to the MEC base on Karkand three times and capped the Cement Factory.  All three times I typed into teamchat that the flag was up and please spawn at MEC base.  Not one person spawned there (including my own squad) and all three times the MEC took me down trying to defend it while waiting for non-existant reinforcements.

I certainly didnt feel like I had any effect that night but it wasn't for lack of trying.  Some times your team is just more interested in the point frenzy at the hotel than actually winning the match.  In my opinion stats are a detriment to the game.  It would be a whole other ball game without them....

I know when everything I seem to try heads sideways I'm NOT helping them ... just a part of the learning process, I guess. Conversely, when I'm in a groove and seem to be putting myself constantly in just the right place, yes, I know i'm helping.

I feel that if I am Dominating, I am affecting the Win off our Team. But I haven't ever thought that I am letting my team down. A decent jet whore On a Map such as wake will Own.

I am still really new to the game but I can tell by the way I play that I am directly affecting the outcome of the game. My buddy and I often do what we call "Kamakazie Revives" on busy Karkand servers where we get almost on kills and like 45-50 team points for just reviving folks. We dont do it for the points, we do it because each time we do it, it is one less ticket (unless he gets killed again immediately, which we try to aviod)If each of us get 20 revives that is 40 tickets that we saved our team. We also often go spec-ops and blow the crap out of assets repeatedly over and over to try to hinder enemies as much as possible, that usually involves capturing flags that are very important to enemies as well (if the are capurable that is)

It doesnt always yield high point totals, but since I have been doing this my w/l ratio is getting a lot better

Yup, I know that.  Just mess.  Curious though, if you get team switched to the losing side in the last few minutes of a match, does it register as a win or loss for you.  I've read that the side that you spend the most time on determines which side you are in for the win/loss stat.  If this is the case, wouldn't it be in your interest to lose for your new team, instead of trying hard to win the match anyways.  I know I've turned a match around a few times after getting team switched to the lower point team.  Were these acts actually detrimental to my W/L stat?

I have found a small squad working togeather, no matter how skilled or unskilled they are, can win a map.
I have done it many times with my clan mates, we join, get put onto a team, make a squad, win a few, and then swap to the loosing team, and help get the wins, and my clan isnt the best skilled players around. Its all in the team work. Thats why some clans are so great. My own clan is by far the best, yet we work well, have a good time, thats what a clan is about.

I was going to mention this: no. You're supposed to get the win or loss for the team you spent the most time with in the round. This was a measure to prevent last-minute switching to pad for the WCR.

Ah, now that is an interesting point; hadn't thought of that.

For those curious about teamswitching and what the W/L is recorded as...

based on my experience, it goes by the team that you are on when the round ends...regardless of how long you've spent with the other team.

How do I know this...well...I was keeping a very close eye on my WLR while attempting for WCR before the req. change.

Lately I'v gotten into Medic or Support kit, so I am enjoying helping out my team where it's needed, which seems to be always. I can't do much else, so I might as well be of some use to them.
