BF2S Forums Iron Gator preference

I hate playing as MEC on this map. I just sit around gassing people on the helipad until/if we get a flag. No point in trying to get on board normally, cos you WILL die.

I dont really mind either team play on what i get. If im seal il grab the apachea and the water becomes a killzone for any boats,jet skies and AA which are dumb enough to lock onto me. The hind I can outturn and kill so thats not a problem. When im MEC I just grab the hind and do strafing runs on the carrier deck wiping out the countless infantry on the deck. Only problem while im MEC is the enemy apachea.

very very true - i had the best two rounds on the gator last night. Its so much more intense and awesome than the average round/map if you are MECSF and you actually manage to take the bastard:

Last night I had 128 in the first round, and 118 in the second

Usually the first round is easier as the first minute or so there are far fewer people around if you load quickly, and the MEC can take a flag before anything has even really started. But the true test is taking it in the second round when everyone spawns at once -
