B) connecting to servers that are in hundreds of miles away from you.

but you dont know if your BF2 will be laggy or not because you havent played it on your machine yet.
(so pointless thread) but anyway
make sure your sis aint on limewire when you finally get around to play on your machine use a cable not wireless if thats possible (makes things a little better) if you have to have wireless thats cool.
also it can still be the server as doc said if you join a server and have a ping of 23 and then say i join that same server from over in the UK my ping will be sky high and i will slow the game up for everybody else, its hit or miss but you will be able to run BF2 on your machine no problems.

I assure every spec on the machine i have but i have 2 new copper rimmed fans new dvd slot new power supply and new wires to graphics card
i had it working before but it kepted on freezing because the dvd thing was broken so i got a new one

No doubt it will run better with a higher connection, but its likely to be PC specs. Turning down graphic options may help. Read the seeing further with sniper rifle thread you have also posted in, and search if you need help with that.
