I looked at the wiki and the SMGs are not in fact really comparable in accuracy to the AK-101 (0.45 min dev and 0.45 added per shot for the 101 and 0.6 min and 0.6 added per shot for the MP5).

- Anti-Tanking: A Comperensive Guide
Great Info from everyone here I am fairly new but like to play AT or Medic most of the time and am now going to go read the "Medic-ing" guide. Thanks again... Tried to +1 some of these posts but it wouldn't let me not enough posts. I'll come back and try again later. Oh and IMO the DAO kicks butt!!

Great!
+1!
+1!
I've been using it a bit more recently and my opinion is changing - its great when combined with rocket sniping as an anti anti-infantry class. I still think its rubbish for real anti-tanking, though. (maybe I should write "Anti-Infantry, how to use the AT kit to your advantage".Oh and IMO the DAO kicks butt!!
Please featured-post request it, if you like it. i've been trying to get it featured for a while now.now going to go read the "Medic-ing" guide.
I admit it was an exaggeration, I was trying tog et the point across that they're not totally inaccurate. Might change that a bit. There is already a medic guide though......
Yeah, but its crap
dude, stop knocking my medic post. you tried to make a better guide, but it didn't make it to the featured post section, meaning...... (make your own conclusion)... I've told you before you post within there if you have an opinion on something regarding medic-ing.... however, you wont, so stop trashing my guide and make a better one.... oh, wait..... you already tried......
Own....
Damn, competing over who writes the better medic guide. I can make no comment on that, only stare dumbly at my moniter in a case of utter shock.

We Need a Neutral Source to Combine the 2 Guides.
Who Gives a Fuck, i really don't learn much off them anyway.

i really dont care who writes a better guide, but i know that i have enough time as medic to say what i have to say, and talon has bashed my guide non-stop in many different posts, i just want him to write a better one, or shut up.
Yes I'm a n00b. Minus Karma me but have the balls to leave your name.......
Though it is arguable that you call me a n00b as in someone whos new when ive been around since Febraury/March and have since written 2 guides which have been featured and I'm currently working on something esle to help contribute.
Besides we should end this on the note that Talon shouldn't have tried challenging a guide that's already been featured.

ahhh.... now talon resorts to neg karma'ing me and davi two days in a row for our posts.... how mature..... maybe an indicator of other posts, but i could be wrong......
thanks man this really helped me!
good guide. i've got two other things to add.
1. When you take cover from armours fire, try to keep Length (see pic below) greater as possible, otherwise you will die from splash damage. Blue elipse is you.
ps: i felt lazy to take SS from BF2 so used Paint instead, two minutes work
2. When you zoom AT gun, there are two reticle circles, bigger and smaller. If you aim with smaller one, your target will hear locked tone and will do counter actions. So try to aim the smaller circle above the target and fire when AT round gets closer guide it to you target. It will reduce your targets reaction time.

Good guide, I was about to suggest adding the second hint mentioned above.
I take my time to line up a good tracks hit, if not possible a rear hit. What I do is aim with the at the ground just below the tracks, then fire. If you time the rocket flight correctly, you can re-aim it in flight just before the impact, not giving the driver any time to hear the warning beep.
Also, because of the server code, any fast moving vehicle has a chance of passing THROUGH your rocket the faster their combined speed is. IMO, firing at a full throttle jeep heading straight at you is a 50-50 situation.

A useful tip is to put a tiny dot or mark in the centre of the screen whilst using the launcher scope. It then gives you the centre point for firing the launcher without scope. This makes it easier to fire then run like hell before they spot you. I'm not a big user of AT kit but find it hilarious when you shoot infantry with the launcher. Makes life worth living.
Thanks for all your comments and karma.
Just have a thing to add. Rockets seem to still be 1 shot kill vs infantry in the new "infantry only" mode.

One correction -- the top of the turret (the area around the crew hatches) is actually a two shot flame kill, not four. And, for some reason, the SAS M1 is a two shot kill in the commanders hatch.

I've tested this - you actually have to get the rocket in the MG turret well for a 2 shot flame kill - And it doesnt work on Euro Tanks either.
