Well just turned on my computer and my Virussccaner said it found A pup From the EA folder. Whats a PUP?

No, some virus programs may think it is unwanted because it's automaticly doing shit. I'd say it's more like adware (to buy their stuff)

My spyware program picks up Gamespy as a spyware program. Perhaps that is what it is seeing.

Well why think its POTENTIALLY unwanted program? If your virusscan alert that some file is PUP it doesn't mean that it's spyware or anything. Ex. GameSpy url files etc. are also PUP in most of virusscans even they are harmless. So if your virusscan alert about PUP which in some strange folder that shouldn't be in your computer you should check it but if it's ex. some url file in your game folder or in some other trusted folder, you shouldn't be worried about it. Sure you should check that file name always.
As Kenthar said, learn to fucking Google and/or Wikipedia search.
If it's in your EA folder, than it's probably a false positive.
But if it's saying this about Gayspy, then it's probably right as that's a POS program that pretty much is spyware.
