Speaker problem!

Hey!

i have this strange problem with my speakers. when i use ventrilo, my speakers, after about 5 minutes, do this strange noise, like, well, how can imitate that...ok, its like taking your hand and moving it tightly over rubber (i guess LOL).

anyway, after that noise is finished, my speakers are dead. i cant listen to music anymore. when i close ventrilo, my speakers are still dead. only after i restart my pc the problem is solved.

anyone got an idea as to what the cause of this problem isa nd how i could fix that?

what kind of sound card are you using? are all the drivers up to date? can you still hear sound with headphones?

I dunno how to explain it in english, but use headphones and the problem should be gone

Go into My Computer Properties, Hardware, Device Manager. Expand Sounds and Audio. Right click on your Sound Driver and select uninstall. Reboot.

Sober enough to know what I'm doing, drunk enough to really enjoy doing it

ok, thx for your help.

i dont use a sound card, use on-board sound (ok, go ahead and laugh at me, i know...lol)
also, for ventrilo, u only use my headset, meaning that hear the other people talk through my headset, so that i can listen to music on my normal speakers.

ill try your suggestuions guys, thx for your help, ill give + karma as sonn as i got new ones to give out...
