Not sure if this is right topic to post in, but here goes:
I'm at a loss here so any help is appreciated.
I can connect into a game just fine, but after about 10 seconds (consistently after 10 seconds) of game play the game locks up, and even if I CTRL+ALT+DEL and try to end task, Windows can't close Battlefield, eventually I have to do a hard restart (restart button on case)... even if I force a shut down in Task Manager, the machine won't restart.
What I'm really confused about is that it seemingly started happening randomly. I've had this issue for the past 2 weeks, and the only thing I've done recently is put in a second hard drive, but I highly doubt that's the issue and not entirely sure that installing the hard drive is when the problem started. I've been running BF2 since Oct last year with no problems, and it's not like this started happening after I installed the recent patch because I was playing fine for a few weeks after installing latest patch.
If I check Event Viewer, I have an error in the Application log that roughly coincides with my crashing that relates to the "Apache Service" (Event ID 3299); this is currently my only lead. The description is as follows:
The Apache service named reported the following error:
>>> [Tue Jun 20 19:06:49 2006] [notice] Disabled use of AcceptEx() WinSock2 API .
System specs are as follows:
AMD64 3000+
1GB RAM
6600GT
