Just deciced to reinstall SF and give it another go, but the installer notified me that it was reverting the patch to 1.1 during the installation.  Well, as buggy as things have been since 1.3, the thought of reverting the patch and then re-patching it back again gave me the creeps so I canceled it.

What's up with this?  Anyone care to fill me in on why it has to muck about with the patches during installation?  I'm tempted to just write off SF because of this....

thats what patch sf comes with just install it then install the full 1.3 patch u should be fine.
heres how the install should go
First bf2 Installs 1.0 version>Sf installs 1.1(cause of a memory leak)> Ef>1.3 patch>then AF if u have it.

Yeah, that happened to me when I was installing SF for the first time.  I can't really remember exactly what patches were out at the time but I know that I just uninstalled the game/all patches and then installed each thing one at a time.  Haven't had a problem since then.  Both Euro Force and Armored Fury have been working fine, as well as Special Forces.
